In 1983 Kirk Hammett was to join Metallica and was replaced by Rick Hunolt. Rob McKillop was recruited as bass player. Shortly before the release of Pleasures Of The Flesh in 1987, Paul Baloff left the band and was replaced by Steve "Zetro" Souza.

Exodus split in 1992, rotting in 1996 with bassist Jack Gibson again. After a world tour that included the return of vocalist Paul Baloff, the band returned to dissolve until September 2001, when the band reformed again in the voices including Steve Souza. In 2003 is released Tempo of the Damned, an album that was warmly received by critics and fans, the album was dedicated to the memory of Paul.

Baloff, who died in 2002 from a heart attack. The band then began a relatively successful world tour, but this training proves to be too unstable and subsequently to the cancellation of several dates scheduled on the tour, the band announced the departure of Steve Souza, Rick Hunolt and Tom Hunting, being supplanted by Rob Dukes (guitar technician Gary Holt on one of his tours), Lee Altus (ex-Heathen) and Paul Bostaph (ex-Slayer, ex-Forbidden), respectively. In late 2005, the band renewed public Shovel Headed Kill Machine, which, according to Gary Holt, is a sequel to the previous Tempo of the Damned. In May 2007 the band returned drummer Tom Hunting. On October 23, 2007 came the album "The Atrocity Exhibition ... Exhibit A", the first of two parts, which are expected to leave its sequel, "The Atrocity Exhibition ... Exhibit B" in mid-2008

Exodus has gone through numerous lineup changes, plus two long separations and even seen the deaths of two of its original members. Gary Holt remains the only permanent member of the band, appearing on all your disks. Though drummer Tom Hunting is one of the founders of the band, he has had two exits of Exodus, but currently remains the drummer of the band. In 2014 Rob Dukes of Exodus goes back to Steve "Zetro" Souza band to record the new album called Bound by Honor that will be released on October 14 of that year.

EXODUS: Unrest by the cancellation of his concert in Brazil

The second date of the Exodus Latin American tour was to take place in Fortaleza, Brazil on Friday, January 22, under the festival 'Fortaleza Open Air'. The event was proceeding normally with the presentations of Vulcan and Krisiun, until it was his turn to take the stage Exodus-but that moment never came. After several minutes of waiting without any explanation from the organizers, the audience began to despair and his reaction was not the friendliest. Reflectors, fences, amplifiers and other stage equipment were destroyed.

According to a message from bassist Jack Gibson, the band canceled his appearance due to lack of payment by the producer.
Then we let some information which published a through Brazil.

Friday night (January 22) was unfortunate for the public who came to Green Square Dragão do Mar to see the spectacle of Exodus band, headlining the first edition of festival Fortaleza Open Air, an event of the producer 4U Produções. Minutes before the giants of the thrash metal get on the stage, the structure began to be dismantled, without there being any announcement by the producers of the festival, causing public outrage, which went to throw beer cans and stones paving the Green Plaza. Reflectors, fences, speakers and other equipment were smashed stage. Some people came to the stage, further increasing confusion. Police arrived at the scene to control the situation.

Bassist Exodus, Jack Gibson, spoke on his Facebook profile and said the nonpayment to keep the show led to the cancellation of the presentation in Fortaleza. "Well, it happened again Another Brazilian promoter that led us to Fortaleza and has no money to pay us. Why do they do it? I felt sorry for the fans. we try to play in every possible way. Now we go to Manaus. it sucks, because our fans favorite around the world are here and have to deal with that. We look like idiots. Sorry, Fortaleza ".

After the scenes of riots in front of the stage, a group of fans decided to loot the bars installed in the Green Square and steal part of the stock of beers on site. Military police were called and spent a few minutes on stage.

The event producer, Jonathan Oliveira came to the stage when the band instruments Vulcan were removed and attempt to speak with the public, even without a microphone. At that time, the stones were also thrown at him. It was necessary to stage an assistant intervene and remove the organizer for not being hit by objects.

Policy Center Dragão do Mar (where the event took place) deeply he regretted the incident and underlined that space was leased to the company 4U Produções, so the festival was not part of the official program. He also noted that a number of agreements made in the contract for the event, such as hiring proportional to the amount of public security, was not met by the company.

Steve 'Zetro' Souza attacked the Big Four, "Metallica is by far the biggest band in the world"

Exodus vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza said that "Big 4" makes no sense for him, saying that Metallica is a lot bigger than Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax band.
Souza told My Global Mind: "We are not considered one of the 'Big 4', and I hate that expression.

Metallica is by far the world's largest band, then why put three others in that category ?. It is no disrespect to Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, I love all those bands, but I live in the Bay Area since the metal was born and everyone wanted to be like Exodus. That goes from Possessed, Legacy, Death Angel; It was not necessarily Metallica, Exodus was, that tells me that was innovated and the band that started it all ".

When asked if there was 'a lot of competition in those early days,' Zetro replied: "Of course he had all knew If you looked at her, then did not have enough hungry to do this You know what I mean...: only the strong survive, but I think it is now cooler, and is very funny. I think at that time were so worried about trying to be No. 1 as all were, which lose sight of many things.
But now it is as if all the rest alentáramos to be champions. We want everyone to succeed, whereas before it was more like 'I have to do this myself.' "
